Cosa c'è di più familiare, e soprattutto sororale, di una tazza di thè fra amiche?
Davanti ad una tazza di thè vengono confidati segreti, si sente la vicinanza fra anime, fra donne, fra sorelle...
Davanti ad una tazza di thè si ride, si scherza, ci si riunisce... e talvolta davanti ad una tazza di thè ci si asciuga le lacrime, reciprocamente... ciò che è certo è che il thè aggiusta ogni cosa.
Questo è uno schema davvero semplice e piccino che potrete ricamare per voi stesse o per una cara amica, magari accompagnandolo ad un pacchetto di thè sfuso, speziato, che trasmetta l'amore e l'affetto che provate per colei che lo riceverà ;)

Carissime, ecco finalmente il piccolo set dedicato all'Ora del Thè!
Si tratta di due schemi che erano nati da un'idea completamente diversa, infatti volevo creare con essi due "Cup Cozy" molto particolari, ma poi ho preferito realizzare qualcosa di diverso.
Così sono nati un piccolo ornament da attaccare alla catenella del vostro filtro da thè e una borsina in cui mettere un bel pacchetto di tè sfuso, oppure le vostre bustine preferite, o magari gli accessori da thè (filtri, piattini per filtri, ecc.).

Dear Stitchers, this is my little Tea Time Set!

Theset consists oftwo patterns thatI designed for realize a completely different idea, becauseI wanted to createwith themtwo "Cozy Cup" very special, but thenI decided todo somethingdifferent.
So I create a little ornament for yours Tea filter and a little bag that you can use for put anice packageof loose tea, tea bags, or perhapsteaaccessories(filters, filterplates, etc..)

Carissime Ricamatrici, in questo periodo sono davvero impegnata con il mio primo lavoro, ovvero insegnare danza... sono stata sommersa di saggi di fine anno e a dire il vero ne manca ancora uno, quindi ci ho messo tantissimo a ricamare le mie ultime creazioni...
Però sono state talmente tante le gioie, le soddisfazioni, i momenti commoventi e felici con le mie allieve, che non posso davvero lamentarmi, anzi... questo periodo intenso mi mancherà e lo attenderò con ansia l'anno prossimo!
MA non sono stata comunque con le mani in mano! Sto ultimando due schemi, uno molto semplice e molto primitive, che adoro davvero tanto... e l'altro più complesso e... chissà...?! :D
Ma visto che sono buona, anche se sto aspettando che il corniciaio me lo riconsegni, vi lascio un piccolo scorcio... ;) Chi indovina di cosa tratta?!

Questa è la storia di una donna che scelse di amare e che per questo fu condannata, sbeffeggiata, insultata e paragonata alle streghe che, pochi anni dopo, nello stesso luogo, sarebbero state uccise: Hester Prynne, la Donna che portava la Lettera Scarlatta ricamata sul petto, con la piccola Pearl, la bimba vestita di scarlatto dal carattere imprevedibile, selvaggio e così incomprensibile alla stessa madre… una creatura dei boschi spesso paragonata ad un uccellino dalle piume rosse...

This is the story of a woman who chose to love and for that reason was condemned, mocked, insulted and compared to the witches that, a few years later and in the same place, were killed: Hester Prynne, the woman who carried the embroidered Scarlet Letter on the breast, with her little Pearl, the little girl dressed in scarlet… unpredictable, wild and so incomprehensible to her own mother... A creature of the woods often likened to a bird with red feathers...

Nella sua vita di reclusa, Hester Prynne ricama, e la sua Arte eseguita con l’Ago è tanto raffinata ed elaborata che, nonostante la diffidenza e l’astio nei suoi confronti, in molti nel villaggio si recano da lei per richiedere il suo lavoro.

In her life as a recluse, Hester Prynne embroidered, and performed her Needle Art is so fine and elegant that many people come to her to ask her needlework, despite the mistrust and hatred against her.
For this reason, in much less time than she had hoped, Hester became the most sought Embroiderer.

Adoro la storia di Hester e la sua forza nell’emergere dalla cattiveria delle malelingue, dalle dicerie e da tutta una serie di regole imposte che all’epoca – ma purtroppo anche oggi – erano in grado di ingabbiare anche le anime più forti.
Hester è il simbolo di tutte le donne che reagiscono e vivono a testa alta nonostante le falsità e la crudeltà di tante persone, è la Donna dall’Ago Dorato che ricama con fili d’oro intorno alla sua Lettera Scarlatta, la quale più che una condanna si trasforma in un punto di forza, quasi magico, che la rende in grado di comprendere la verità che si cela oltre le apparenze.

I love the story of Hester and I love her strength in resisting the malice of evil tongues, of rumors and a whole series of rules imposed at the time - and unfortunately even today – that were able to entrap even the hardiest souls. Hester is a symbol of all women who react and live with honor despite the lies and cruelty of many people. She’s the Gold Needle Woman, who embroidered with gold threads around her Scarlet Letter… a Letter which more than a condemnation becomes a source of strength, almost magical, that makes Hester able to understand the truth that lies beyond appearances.

Bella, forte, coraggiosa, Hester fronteggia il mondo… insieme alla piccola Pearl, rosso uccellino venuto dal bosco.

Beautiful, strong, courageous, Hester faces the world... with her little Pearl, the little red bird that has come from the wood.

Una piccolo nota: la data riportata nello schema è approssimativa. Nel romanzo non è mai indicate una data precisa e solo nella prefazione al testo si dice che la storia avviene intorno agli anni ’60 del 1600.
L’introduzione al romanzo vero e proprio, intitolata La Dogana, è ambientata a Salem, così come presumibilmente il romanzo stesso, ma altrettanto spesso si parla di Boston, così, per essere più sicura, ho usato Boston come punto di riferimento del ricamo.
Dedico questo ricamo a tutte le Hester Prynne antiche e moderne, che nonostante le invidie e le cattiverie vivono nella loro forza indistruttibile, protette e illuminate dalla loro verità.

A little note: the date shown in the pattern is approximate. The novel never give an exact date and only the preface to my Italian text translation says that the story takes place in the 60s of the seventeenth century. The introduction to the novel, entitled The Custom-House, is set in Salem, presumably as the novel itself, but Boston is often given as a reference… just to be safe I used Boston as a reference point.
I dedicate this pattern to all the ancient and modern Hester Prynnes, that in spite of the envy and the evil lives in their indestructible force, protected and enlightened by their truth.

C'era una volta una Vecchina, che viveva in una casetta di pietra al limitare di un'antica radura...
La Vecchina amava moltissimo gli animali, che le si avvicinavano senza timore e vivevano insieme lei. Ma soprattutto era diventata amica di un bellissimo cervo, il quale mangiava fra le sue mani e mentre la Vecchina ricamava, a tarda sera, si addormentaca accucciato vicino alle sue gambe.

Once upon a time, there was an old woman, who lived in a stone cottage on the edge of an ancient clearing. The Granny loved animals very much, and they not feared her and lived together her.
Above all she was friends with a beautiful deer, which ate in her hands and, late at night, fell asleep curled up next to her legs, while she embroidering.

Quando la Vecchina usciva per raccogliere le erbe per mangiare e per curare, il cervo la accompagnava, e con il muso, o picchiando in terra gli zoccoli, le indicava quelle più fresche e buone, o quelle più ricche di principi medicinali... e così la Vecchina si faceva consigliare, e se le sue zuppe, frittatine e pasticci erano i più buoni che si fossero mai assaggiati, le sue medicine naturali erano le più potenti, e non mancavano mai di guarire coloro che, con rispetto e amore, visitavano la casa della Nonnina in cerca di cure.

When the old woman went out to gather herbs for eating and healing the deer accompanied her, and with its nose, or hitting the ground with its hooves, pointed to the most fresh and good herbs...
So the Granny soups, pancakes and pies were the most good in the country, and her natural medicines were the most powerful.

Anche i ricami che la vecchina sapeva confezionare, sempre estremamente semplici eppure vivi e perfetti, erano fra i più belli che si erano mai visti, e soprattutto erano dotati di un potere magico: donavano a chiunque li ricevesse in Dono una buona Fortuna per il proprio Destino, poichè i loro fili erano intrecciati insieme all'Armonia e all'Amore che la Vecchina portava in sè, e che non mancava mai di regalare agli altri.

The old lady's embroideries were simple but perfect, and above all they were endowed with a magic power: everyone who received them were gifted with a good Fortune for their fate, because their threads were twisted together with all the Harmony and the Love of the old woman.

Questo nuovo schema mostra la "Sciurina" con il suo amico cervo, e un bosco di conifere che cresceva proprio intorno alla sua casetta...
E' stato disegnato nel modo più semplice possibile, ricamato con cura e amore e, spero, porterà anche un po' di Fortuna a chi lo vorrà ricamare :)

This new pattern shows the Granny with her Deer and a conifer wood that grew nearby the little stone cottage.
It's designed in a very simple way, it was embroidered with love and I hope it will bring Fortune to everyone who will take it home :)

Narra la leggenda che in fondo al mare vivessero due Sirene, detentrici del magico Tridente che manteneva l'Armonia nel magico mondo sotto le onde...
Le due Sirene erano sorelle, eppure erano molto diverse. Una delle due incarnava le energie quiete e mutevoli della Luna, l'altra incarnava lo spirito forte e vivace del Sole.

The two Mermaids were sisters, yet they were very different.One of them embodied the quiet and changing energy of the moon, the other one embodied thespiritstrong andvibrant of the Sun.

Tutti figli del mare, dai pesci alle alghe, dai fiori marini ai coralli e alle conchiglie, le amavano, perchè esse preservavano la Gioia e l'Amore, la Bellezza e l'Armonia.
Le due Sirene erano le Guardiane del Mare, e proteggevano le sue creature e i mille tesori dei fondali.
Erano buone e bellissime, ma all'occorrenza potevano diventare terribili e spaventose, perchè avrebbero agitato il magico Tridente, fra tempeste e burrasca, e avrebbero ridotto in sabbia qualsiasi cosa minacciasse la Pace del loro Mondo acquatico.

In una vecchia Scuola Elementare, in un tempo passato, una bimba piccina, dalle trecce castane e il grembiulino grigio, si cimenta ad imparare l'alfabeto.
La maestra indica la lavagna con la sua bacchetta:
"Che cos'è questa, Marie?", chiede alla sua piccola alunna.
"Maestra, quella è una C!", risponde entusiasta la bimba indicando la lavagna con la manina.

In an old Primary School, ina past time, a little girl with brown braidsandgrayapron engages in learningthe alphabet.
The teachershowsthe board withher wand:
"What is this, Marie?" Asked to her littlepupil.
"Teacher, that's a C!" The girlreplies enthusiasticallypointing to theblackboardwithher hand.

"Brava piccola!" sorride la maestra, "Ora prendi il gesso e copia le lettere sulla tua lavagnetta...".

Marie prende la bustina che ha ricamato con le sue manine e ne estrae uno dei sei gessi che porta sempre con sé. Impegnata e attenta, scrive le lettere sulla sua piccola lavagna.: "A, B e C".
"Molto bene piccola... se continui così andrai lontano!", si congratula la maestra con Marie.

"Good girl!" the teacher says, smiling, "Now take the chalk andcopythe letters onyourblackboard...".
Marietakes thebagthathas embroideredwith her handsand pulls outone of the six chalksthat she always carries with her. Engaged, she writes letterson her littleblackboard: "A, B and C".
"Very good sweety, you'll go far!". The teachercongratulatesMarie.

Questo schema è stato ispirato dal primo giorno di scuola e dall'emozione che ricordo di aver provato quando ero piccola (sorvoliamo sul pianto disperato... :D).
Lo schema è adatto per cucire una piccola cartella ed è accompagnato da un altro piccolo schema da ricamare sulla bustina porta gessetti, o su un astuccino porta matite, o su ciò che preferite :)

La lavagnetta che vedete nelle foto è molto vecchia, risale ai primissimi anni del 1900 ed era appartenuta ad una giovinetta francese di nome Marie. Il suo nome (Marie José Rumeau), scritto da lei o dalla sua maestra, compare sul bordo di legno, in alto a destra.

Cercavo da tempo una lavagnetta antica proprio come questa, e poche settimane fa l'ho finalmente trovata da una venditrice francese. La lavagnetta è rotta, ha una crepa al centro... e forse è per questo se me ne sono innamorata ancora di più... mi ha ricordato di Jane Eyre, quando a Lowood rompe la lavagna attirando su di sè le attenzioni del terribile signor Brocklehurst...
Mi ha fatto una tenerezza infinita e ho capito che quella era la mia lavagnetta, quella che cercavo da tanto... la adoro!

Nella loro notte, le streghe voleranno verso la magica grotta, e usando la chiave magica entreranno in una staza piccina e illuminata da mille candele, dove in un grande calderone bolle e ribolle una pozione magica. Così le streghe danzeranno e gioiranno e festeggeranno fino all'alba, nel segreto e nella complicità, come due sorelle.
E al primo raggio di sole che illuminerà le foglie dorate e la nebbia d'argento, esse di colpo spariranno, svegliandosi nel loro lettino come dopo aver fatto un sogno meraviglioso...

Questo schema era pronto da più di un mese, ma per alcuni contrattempi sono riuscita a presentarlo solo stasera. Così per farmi perdonare (ma soprattutto perchè adoro farlo) ho creato insieme alle due streghine un piccolo schema free, che potrete realizzare pensando alla chiave magica che apre la porta segreta nella grotta... ;)
I colori che ho usato sono i DMC 3781 e 610.

Nel pacchetto PDF troverete anche il modello dell'albero di legno, con tutte le misure per costruirlo come il mio, che ho disegnato appositamente per i miei schemi, dipingendolo, anticandolo e arricchendolo con una stella di legno bellissima e con il bosco incantato alla base :)
Ogni abbellimento lo troverete di sicuro nei negozi e vivai che vendono addobbi natalizi country... potrete sbizzarrirvi a creare il vostro boschetto incantato, ad addobbare l'albero come preferite, oppure potrete invece decidere di ricamare solo i cuscinetti e di appenderli all'albero di Natale!
Un'altra idea che avevo in mente di realizzare, era quella di cucire non dei cuscinetti ma delle piccole taschine, in cui inserire ogni giorno un cioccolatino o caramella. L'albero di supporto potrete anche realizzarlo con una bella stoffa verde, così da poterlo appendere...
La vostra fantasia vi suggerirà cos'è perfetto per voi!

In the PDF file you'll find the wood tree model too, with all the measures for create it like mine. I designed it for my little patterns, then I painted it and aged it, then I put on it a fantastic wood star and a sweet "enchanted wood" on its bottom.
You'll surely find ornaments for your wood tree in shops that sell Christmas Country ornaments, but you can decide to stitch the little patterns for hang them on to your Christmas Tree.
You can also realize the tree with fabrics (maybe a beautiful green fabric) and hang it in your house. A beautiful idea is to stitch the patterns for make with them twenty-four little pockets that you can fill with chocolate or candies...
Your fantasy will suggest you what is perfect for you!

Carissime Ricamatrici, sono giorni che mi incanto a guardare le realizzazioni del Fairytale Calendar che pubblica la bravissima Carin, e ammetto che per un paio di numerini mi sono quasi commossa...
Sta facendo un lavoro eccezionale e soprattutto per ricamare i 24 schemini ha scelto di usare dei filati tinti a mano, fra cui i The Gentle Art, i Crescent Colors e i bellissimi filati di Nina.
Io veramente resto senza parole ogni giorno, anche perchè per ogni numerino Carin associa immagini incantevoli che evocano proprio quelle atmosfere magiche invernali che mi hanno ispirato questi piccoli disegni.

My dear Stitchers, in these days I'm really amazed looking the Fairytale Advent Calendar realizations by Carin, I'm really touched! She's doing a great work, especially because she chose hand-dyed fibers for stitching the patterns, including The Gentle Art, Crescent Colors and the beautiful threads by Nina.
Every day is a surprise for me to see her work, and she also combines beautiful images that evoke precisely the magical winter atmosphere that inspired me these little drawings.

Carissime, ieri sera una ricamatrice molto carina e gentile, mi ha scritto allegandomi un link nel quale il mio Fairytale Advent Calendar era stato diffuso gratuitamente, con un seguito di ben sette pagine di forum tutte piene di ringraziamenti da parte di tutte coloro che se lo sono scaricato e tutt'ora lo stanno facendo. Sette pagine.
Io purtroppo non riesco a fare nulla per far eliminare il post, ho scritto all'amministratore del forum ma l'indirizzo risulta disattivato. E non ero nemmeno stata attenta a prendere precauzione anti-pirateria perchè non lo ritenevo ancora necessario, dato che sono poco conosciuta come disegnatrice - nemmeno mi definisco tale - e nutro fin troppa fiducia nelle persone.
Io spero vivamente che si possa comprendere che questa cosa non va fatta, che diffondere schemi in questo modo è la cosa più dannosa che si possa fare verso una disegnatrice e una persona che ad ogni cliente ha rivolto gentili e calde parole e piena disponibilità. E' così che viene ripagata anche solo la gentilezza?
Io ci ho messo più di un mese e mezzo a creare questo calendario... ho lavorato per più di un mese e mezzo fra disegni, ricami, cuciture, disegni del supèporto, creazione dello stesso, pittura, ecc.
E non è giusto che questo tempo e quest'impegno, nonché l'idea e i mezzi per realizzarla, siano svalutati in questo modo, con un semplice "click".
Chiedo per favore a tutte voi di non scaricare quello schema, se doveste trovarlo in rete. Il prezzo che ho deciso per 24 schemi non è affatto alto, ci sto attenta e ci tengo molto a tenere i costi bassi e alla portata di tutte.
Vi prego di ricompensare almeno le mie fatiche acquistando lo schema originale, se lo desiderate.
Alla fine la scelta è di ognuna. Potete scegliere se stare dalla parte giusta o da quella sbagliata. E ognuna ha le sue buone o cattive conseguenze.
